About the role
We are seeking a Sr. Functional Architect with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Order to Cash (OTC) and SD, focused on Brazil and Latin America. In this role, you will design end-to-end solutions, align them with global business processes, and lead hybrid delivery initiatives to enhance financial integrity and operational efficiency.

In this role you will

  • Design comprehensive S/4HANA Order to Cash solutions ensuring consistency across business units in Brazil and Latin America.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable SD configurations, including regional tax, billing, and localization needs.
  • Optimize OTC processes by identifying gaps and implementing enhancements to improve cycle times and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to ensure accurate financial integration, reporting, and compliance.
  • Define and maintain data models for customer master, pricing, credit management, and revenue recognition.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend standard S/4HANA solutions to minimize customization.
  • Develop functional specifications for RICEF objects in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Lead end-to-end testing (SIT/UAT), ensuring solution quality and production readiness.
  • Support hybrid project delivery, including issue resolution and cutover activities.
  • Conduct workshops and demos to drive user adoption and refine solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regional statutory requirements (Brazil & LATAM).
  • Analyze production issues and implement long-term improvements.
  • Mentor junior consultants and promote best practices in OTC and SD localization.

Work Model: Hybrid - from New jersey

What you need to have to be considered

  • 12–14 years of SAP functional experience with strong focus on S/4HANA Order to Cash and SD.
  • Hands-on expertise in SD configuration (order processing, delivery, billing, pricing, tax).
  • Experience supporting Brazil and Latin America localization requirements.
  • Strong understanding of finance integration (GL impact, revenue recognition, reporting).
  • Experience with SAP data models and master data governance.
  • Ability to work effectively in hybrid/global delivery environments.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience in complex global implementations across LATAM regions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to lead functional design and transformation initiatives.
  • SAP Certified Application Professional – S/4HANA Sales or equivalent certification.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $100,890 - $138,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
