Job Summary
Serve as a senior software engineer in a hybrid work model designing and implementing resilient microservices using Java and Spring Boot on AWS to support scalable enterprise applications. Collaborate with cross functional product teams to build secure and performant solutions with preferred exposure to asset and wealth management platforms while mentoring peers and driving high quality engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot that power core business capabilities and ensure reliable performance for complex enterprise applications
- Develop clean modular and reusable service components that support continuous delivery of new features while maintaining application stability and predictable behavior
- Implement robust REST based integrations between microservices and external systems to ensure secure efficient and observable data exchange across the platform
- Optimize application performance and resource utilization on AWS by tuning services storage configurations and network interactions to meet demanding throughput and latency expectations
- Configure and refine CI CD pipelines that automate build test and deployment workflows for microservices to improve release frequency and reduce production incidents
- Apply secure coding standards and integrate security controls within services and AWS resources to protect sensitive data and comply with enterprise risk and regulatory guidelines
- Design and implement automated unit integration and contract tests to improve code quality enable safe refactoring and reduce escape defects into higher environments
- Collaborate with product owners architects and other engineers to refine technical requirements translate user needs into service designs and deliver incremental value in each iteration
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in microservices and AWS environments by analyzing logs metrics and traces and then implementing targeted corrective actions
- Document service designs API specifications and operational runbooks clearly so that other engineers and support teams can efficiently maintain and extend the platform
- Engage in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions to promote engineering standards improve code maintainability and uplift overall team capability
- Contribute to domain solutions for asset and wealth management initiatives by translating domain needs into service workflows that improve client experiences and operational efficiency
- Coordinate effectively in a hybrid work setup by using collaboration tools participating in planned onsite sessions and maintaining clear written and verbal communication with distributed stakeholders
Qualifications
- Possess seven to ten years of hands on experience in professional software engineering with a strong track record of building and maintaining production grade microservices
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot including experience with reactive patterns configuration management and building stateless cloud ready services
- Exhibit practical experience with AWS services such as compute storage and networking resources along with logging and monitoring tools that support cloud native applications
- Showcase deep understanding of microservices design principles including domain driven design fault tolerance observability and graceful degradation strategies
- Apply strong skills in relational or NoSQL databases message brokers and caching solutions to design data access patterns that are resilient and highly performant
- Display familiarity with enterprise practices in asset and wealth management or similar financial domains and use this understanding to design services that align with business workflows
- Use strong problem solving and communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams operate effectively in a hybrid workplace and deliver reliable outcomes without requiring travel
