About the role

As a Data Integration Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data integration solutions that support enterprise-wide data movement, transformation, and analytics initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Data Services team and work collaboratively with data architects, engineers, analysts, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), including Mass Ingestion, Application Ingestion, Data Integration, Taskflows, and API Integration.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions that ingest, transform, and deliver data to AWS Redshift and other enterprise platforms.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues while driving long-term improvements in reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable integration solutions and data workflows.
  • Support DevOps and deployment processes by leveraging version control, CI/CD practices, change management procedures, and environment promotion standards.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing ETL/data integration solutions.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
  • Strong expertise with IDMC components, including Data Integration, Mass Ingestion, Application Ingestion, Taskflows, and API-based integrations.
  • Experience working with AWS data services, preferably Amazon Redshift, including SQL development, DDL/DML, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data architecture, integration patterns, and scalable data engineering practices.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and support production-grade ETL and data integration environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JMS messaging, event-driven architectures, or service-oriented integration patterns.
  • Experience implementing enterprise data solutions in regulated environments such as insurance, financial services, or other compliance-driven industries.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services beyond Redshift and their integration within modern data ecosystems.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing new IDMC features, connectors, agents, and platform enhancements.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience contributing to integration standards, reusable frameworks, and data engineering best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until August 11, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $110,500 - $130,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
