Job Summary

This role focuses on planning and executing functional analysis and testing for LS R and D verification validation and laboratory informatics platforms including Empower Labvantage Labware and Labware ELN. The senior functional analyst collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure compliant high quality solutions that support hybrid work models and day shifts while improving scientific productivity and supply chain efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with R and D stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications for LS R and D verification validation and laboratory informatics solutions including Empower Labvantage Labware and Labware ELN to ensure accurate alignment with scientific workflows and regulatory expectations.
  • Design and execute end to end functional test strategies for LS R and D verification validation solutions by defining test objectives test scenarios and acceptance criteria that validate data integrity system reliability and compliance with applicable quality standards.
  • Coordinate functional testing cycles for Empower Labvantage Labware and Labware ELN systems by preparing test data executing test scripts and documenting test evidence to ensure traceability and reproducibility of validation outcomes in a hybrid work environment.
  • Review and validate laboratory and manufacturing process maps with business teams by identifying gaps dependencies and improvement opportunities that enhance system usability streamline operations and support robust verification and validation practices.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing domain experts to assess the impact of laboratory system enhancements on downstream processes ensuring that data flows configurations and interfaces support efficient and resilient value chains.
  • Analyze production incidents and defects in Empower Labvantage Labware and Labware ELN platforms by performing root cause analysis proposing corrective actions and validating fixes to minimize disruption to critical R and D and manufacturing activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive functional documentation including user requirements functional specifications and validation summary reports that clearly capture system behavior test coverage and residual risks for audit ready records.
  • Engage with cross functional global teams in a hybrid model to clarify requirements provide system demonstrations and support user acceptance testing ensuring that stakeholders fully understand solution capabilities and limitations.
  • Optimize test coverage for LS R and D verification validation initiatives by selecting appropriate functional test techniques prioritizing high risk scenarios and using reusable test assets to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Support configuration and functional setup of Labware and Labware ELN modules by validating workflows forms calculations and integrations to ensure they meet laboratory needs and maintain alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts and testers on best practices in functional testing and verification validation in laboratory informatics while ensuring that responsibilities remain focused on mentoring rather than formal leadership oversight.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing functional test metrics proposing refinements to test processes and recommending enhancements to laboratory systems that improve data quality and operational performance.
  • Communicate clear functional insights to product owners and technical teams by summarizing test results risk assessments and recommended actions to facilitate informed decisions on system changes and releases.

  • Qualifications

  • Demonstrate extensive experience in LS R and D verification validation with a strong understanding of validation principles test documentation and compliance practices applied to laboratory and scientific systems.
  • Exhibit proficient hands on experience with Empower Labvantage Labware and Labware ELN functional testing including designing test cases preparing test data and validating complex laboratory workflows.
  • Apply solid knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain domain processes to interpret how laboratory data and system changes influence production planning quality release and inventory decisions.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills to interpret defects assess process impacts and propose pragmatic functional solutions that support business continuity and quality objectives.
  • Display effective communication and collaboration capabilities in a hybrid work model by engaging with global teams participating in workshops and providing clear explanations of functional designs and test findings.
  • Maintain a structured detail oriented approach to documentation by producing traceable requirements test evidence and validation reports that support audits and internal reviews.
  • Leverage familiarity with SDLC and agile delivery practices to participate in sprint planning backlog refinement and review sessions while ensuring functional quality is integrated into each release.
