Job summary
This role is for a PTG Developer with three to five years of experience in BigCommerce and Adobe Commerce front end development working from office in a day shift. The role focuses on building accessible secure and high performing storefront experiences that align with global ecommerce standards enhance customer trust and support sustainable business growth for a multinational company.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement responsive BigCommerce front end components that deliver smooth shopping journeys and support conversion goals for global ecommerce initiatives.
- Develop and customize Adobe Commerce front end themes that align with brand guidelines while maintaining optimal performance and accessibility across modern browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate user stories into detailed front end tasks that can be efficiently implemented and validated.
- Optimize page load times and front end performance metrics through careful use of assets scripts styles and caching strategies that improve customer experience.
- Integrate front end features with underlying APIs and services by working closely with backend and integration teams to ensure reliable data flow and error handling.
- Conduct thorough unit and functional testing of front end features to identify defects early and maintain robust and stable ecommerce storefronts.
- Review and refine user interface designs in partnership with UX and visual design teams to ensure that layouts are intuitive inclusive and aligned with brand expectations.
- Maintain clear and structured documentation for front end components configurations and deployment steps to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high coding standards encourage reuse of components and reduce technical debt across BigCommerce and Adobe Commerce implementations.
- Coordinate with support and operations teams to troubleshoot front end incidents analyze root causes and implement sustainable fixes that prevent recurrence.
- Follow secure coding practices and compliance guidelines when implementing front end customizations to safeguard customer data and protect digital storefront integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements in front end toolchains build processes and workflows that increase delivery efficiency.
- Engage in cross functional collaboration to ensure that front end solutions contribute meaningfully to company goals such as customer satisfaction revenue growth and social impact through reliable digital experiences.
Qualifications
- Apply strong proficiency in BigCommerce front end development using modern web technologies to build scalable and maintainable ecommerce interfaces.
- Utilize hands on experience in Adobe Commerce front end implementation to configure themes layout updates and content structures that meet complex business needs.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of core web technologies including HTML CSS and JavaScript to craft clean semantic and accessible front end code bases.
- Employ experience with responsive design practices and cross browser compatibility testing to deliver consistent experiences across desktop tablet and mobile devices.
- Use practical exposure to version control tools and collaborative development workflows to manage code changes and support smooth team coordination.
- Leverage problem solving skills and debugging techniques to analyze front end issues interpret logs and resolve defects within agreed service levels.
- Draw on prior experience of three to five years in professional ecommerce front end projects to handle complex requirements tight timelines and stakeholder expectations.
Certifications Required
Adobe Commerce Front End Developer certification or equivalent ecommerce front end credential is preferred.
