About the role
As a Senior MES Execution Systems Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, implementing, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions that improve production visibility, quality, compliance, and operational performance across manufacturing environments. You will be a valued member of the Manufacturing Solutions team and work collaboratively with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, IT, automation, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable MES capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement end-to-end MES solutions that integrate manufacturing operations with enterprise systems to improve efficiency, traceability, and data accuracy.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable MES configurations, enhancements, and workflows.
- Develop and support integrations between MES, ERP, planning, and automation systems to enable real-time visibility and decision-making.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize MES performance, conducting root cause analysis and driving resolution of complex production system issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging MES data and manufacturing insights to enhance productivity, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

What you need to have to be considered
- Extensive hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including solution design, configuration, deployment, and production support.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including discrete, batch, or hybrid production environments.
- Experience integrating MES platforms with enterprise applications such as ERP systems, automation platforms, APIs, middleware, and messaging technologies.
- Proficiency with SQL, database concepts, data modeling, and production reporting solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex MES issues, perform root cause analysis, and support mission-critical manufacturing operations.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and drive user adoption.
- Knowledge of validation, data integrity, quality management, and compliance requirements within regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environments.
These will help you stand out
- Experience supporting MES deployments across multiple manufacturing sites or global operations.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, including material traceability, inventory management, and production order execution.
- Experience designing user-friendly shop floor workflows and operator interfaces.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for manufacturing and industrial systems.
- Proven ability to mentor team members, lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, and promote MES best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until August 09, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 113,000 - $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
