Job Summary

Architect role requiring 10 to 13 years of experience in mobile application design and architecture focusing on Objective C and Swift UI for high performance cards and payments solutions in a hybrid day shift model. The architect will define scalable patterns guide teams on secure transaction flows and ensure robust quality through test frameworks such as XCTest while aligning mobile platforms with business and regulatory needs.


Responsibilities

  • Design end to end mobile application architectures that integrate Objective C and Swift UI components into a cohesive solution tailored for cards and payments transaction flows ensuring scalability reliability and maintainability across hybrid work environments
  • Define standards for mobile app design and architecture that optimize performance security and usability using Swift Package Manager and networking libraries to create modular and reusable components that support long term product evolution
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate complex cards and payments requirements into clear mobile architecture blueprints ensuring that transaction handling card lifecycle operations and payment processing align with organizational goals and industry regulations
  • Guide development teams on best practices for Objective C and Swift UI implementation focusing on clean code structures separation of concerns and optimized rendering paths that improve user experience and reduce defects in production
  • Establish patterns for networking library usage that support secure communication with payment gateways card management services and backend APIs emphasizing encryption latency optimization and robust error handling to protect customer data
  • Develop strategies for automated testing using XCTest that cover unit integration and regression scenarios for critical cards and payments workflows ensuring high confidence in release quality and rapid feedback cycles for ongoing enhancements
  • Review mobile solution designs and code implementations to identify architectural risks performance bottlenecks and security gaps providing actionable recommendations that strengthen resilience of payment features and reduce incident likelihood
  • Coordinate with security and compliance teams to embed regulatory and industry standards into mobile architectures for cards and payments ensuring that authentication flows data storage patterns and audit trails support safe and compliant transactions
  • Optimize hybrid work collaboration processes by documenting architectural decisions patterns and reference implementations enabling distributed teams to follow consistent structures and accelerate delivery of new features for card and payment services
  • Mentor engineers in modern mobile architectural techniques including component based design test driven development with XCTest and effective use of Swift Package Manager helping them grow skills that directly enhance product quality and customer trust
  • Analyze production metrics and user behavior data related to cards and payments features using insights to refine architectural decisions improve performance of networking interactions and guide future enhancements that benefit both customers and business outcomes
  • Coordinate integration strategies between mobile applications and external payment partners through robust networking library configurations ensuring seamless transaction experiences graceful handling of failures and scalable support for new card products
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on mobile app design and architecture proactively identifying opportunities to reduce technical debt streamline payment workflows and strengthen the reliability of transaction processing across the portfolio


Qualifications

  • Require extensive experience in Objective C and Swift UI demonstrating the ability to design complex mobile interfaces and architectures that support sophisticated cards and payments journeys while maintaining high performance and usability
  • Require practical expertise with Swift Package Manager applying it to structure modular codebases manage dependencies and enable maintainable and testable mobile platforms for payment and card management solutions
  • Require strong proficiency with networking libraries using them to implement secure efficient and resilient communication layers that connect mobile apps to payment gateways card processors and backend services in demanding production environments
  • Require deep domain experience in cards and payments understanding transaction lifecycles card issuance and servicing authorization patterns and risk considerations so architectural decisions align with industry practices and improve customer confidence
  • Require solid experience with XCTest and related testing practices enabling comprehensive test suites that validate payment flows card operations and integration points to minimize defects and ensure reliable mobile releases
  • Nice to have familiarity with broader mobile design patterns and emerging technologies that can further refine app architecture enhance accessibility and inclusivity and improve the overall experience for diverse users of cards and payments services
  • Nice to have background working in hybrid collaboration models using effective communication and documentation practices to coordinate complex architecture work across onsite and remote teams in day shift operations
  • Nice to have exposure to performance tuning and optimization techniques for mobile payment applications allowing proactive identification of latency issues resource constraints and scalability challenges in high volume transaction scenarios


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include Certified Payments Professional or equivalent mobile development certification such as a recognized iOS architecture credential
