About the role
As a Senior QE Lead with Capital Market Experience, you will make an impact by leading quality engineering initiatives for large-scale, enterprise-grade financial applications while driving test strategy, automation, data validation, and continuous quality improvement. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, development teams, business stakeholders, data teams, and cross-functional delivery organizations to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead and mentor QA teams delivering quality engineering for large-scale, enterprise-grade applications, driving test strategy, execution, resource planning, and continuous quality improvements across multiple projects.
  • Perform functional and automation testing for Capital Markets applications to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Validate index methodologies, benchmark indices, market data, reference data, and index calculation platforms, ensuring accuracy across financial applications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Java or Python, and execute regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate data using SQL, databases, ETL pipelines, and Data Services to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and GenAI assistants to improve test design, test automation, defect analysis, root cause investigation, and overall QE productivity.
  • Work with market data, pricing, reference data, index calculations, and other capital markets platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define QA strategy, support Agile delivery practices, manage project risks and dependencies, and successfully deliver complex large-scale initiatives with high quality and predictable outcomes.

What you need to have to be considered

  • Strong expertise in Quality Engineering with a proven track record of leading and mentoring QA teams in enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of Capital Markets, Asset Management, Index Methodologies, Benchmark Indices, market data, and reference data domains.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency with experience working with multiple AI models, AI-powered tools, and GenAI platforms to improve quality engineering outcomes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium automation, Java and/or Python, API testing, and test automation framework development.
  • Strong SQL and database testing expertise with experience validating ETL pipelines, data services, and large-scale financial data platforms.
  • Experience validating index calculations, benchmark-related applications, and capital markets platforms.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives.

  • Experience testing high-volume, low-latency, real-time data platforms within Financial Services organizations.
  • Strong experience with market data, pricing platforms, and financial data distribution systems.
  • Expertise in automation strategy, framework architecture, and continuous testing practices.
  • Experience leading quality transformations and driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in defect prevention, root cause analysis, and risk management.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between$80,000p.a - $130,000p.a depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
