Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engagement Delivery Lead to drive the successful execution of a Controls Modernization and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) transformation program. This role will be responsible for managing delivery across control assessments, control rationalization, modernization initiatives, and governance enablement activities. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary coordination point across business, technology, risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders while ensuring execution quality, transparency, and alignment with regulatory and organizational objectives. This position requires strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and financial services risk management experience.

In this role, you will:
· Lead end-to-end delivery of controls modernization initiatives across assessment, optimization, and enablement phases.
· Develop and maintain detailed project workplans, milestone schedules, delivery trackers, RAID logs, and governance artifacts.
· Coordinate activities across GRC consultants, risk stakeholders, control owners, compliance teams, audit functions, and technology partners.
· Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to assess controls, validate ownership, identify gaps, and support rationalization activities.
· Track delivery progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
· Prepare and communicate weekly status reports covering accomplishments, upcoming activities, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies.
· Drive issue resolution and escalation management while proactively identifying delivery risks and mitigation strategies.
· Ensure assessment findings, recommendations, control rationalization decisions, and roadmap outputs remain traceable and well documented.
· Conduct quality reviews of project deliverables to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with engagement objectives and acceptance criteria.
· Support governance forums, executive reviews, stakeholder communications, and decision-making processes throughout the engagement lifecycle.
· Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance, and audit teams to support control transformation, audit remediation, and risk reduction initiatives.
· Maintain project documentation, meeting records, action logs, and governance artifacts in accordance with organizational standards.
What you need to have to be considered
· 12+ years of experience in Program Management, Delivery Management, GRC, Technology Risk, Audit, Operational Risk, or Controls Transformation programs.
· Strong experience leading large-scale financial services, banking, risk, compliance, or controls modernization initiatives.
· Proven expertise in delivery governance, stakeholder management, workplan management, milestone tracking, and RAID management.
· Experience supporting control assessments, control rationalization, audit remediation, risk management, and regulatory compliance programs.
· Strong understanding of technology controls, operational controls, risk frameworks, governance processes, and control effectiveness assessments.
· Experience facilitating executive workshops, stakeholder interviews, governance forums, and cross-functional working sessions.
· Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and executive reporting skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies, delivery risks, escalations, and stakeholder expectations in regulated environments.
· Experience working with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
· Exposure to GRC, audit management, risk management, or governance workflow platforms is preferred.
· Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CISA, CRISC, or related program/risk management certifications are highly desirable.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[136,500 -160,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
