About the role

Cognizant is seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) AI Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive AI strategy, solution design, and delivery oversight across enterprise supply chain engagements. This role will partner with clients to identify and implement GenAI and agentic AI solutions that address complex supply chain challenges while supporting business development, advisory services, and successful solution execution across industries such as Life Sciences, Retail, Manufacturing, and Consumer Goods.

In this role, you will:

· Lead AI solution design and strategy across supply chain functions including demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, warehousing, transportation, procurement, and control tower operations

· Partner with sales and account teams to support discovery sessions, solution development, proposals, effort estimation, and executive client presentations

· Provide AI advisory services including AI readiness assessments, transformation roadmaps, governance frameworks, and pilot program planning

· Oversee solution delivery by translating business requirements into offshore execution plans, performing milestone reviews, and ensuring solution quality and business outcomes

· Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders and contribute to Cognizant’s SCM and AI practice development through thought leadership, reusable assets, and market insights

What you need to have to be considered

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain consulting, solution architecture, or enterprise transformation
  • 3+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Digital Transformation initiatives
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Generative AI, AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-driven automation solutions
  • Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Copilots, multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop frameworks, and AI solution architectures on cloud platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI
  • Working knowledge of supply chain business processes including planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and warehouse management
  • Experience with leading SCM platforms such as Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates, SAP, Oracle, o9 Solutions, or similar technologies is preferred
  • Prior consulting or systems integration experience with demonstrated success in client-facing engagements, presales support, and solution delivery leadership
  • AI, cloud, or supply chain certifications are preferred but not required

These will help you stand out

· Certifications in Supply Chain Management, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Cloud Technologies

· Experience leading AI-driven supply chain transformation programs at enterprise scale

· Thought leadership, publishing, speaking engagements, or contributions to AI and supply chain communities

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 - $180,000, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors related to the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
