About the role
As a Senior Java Full Stack Technical Lead, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications while partnering closely with client stakeholders and distributed delivery teams. You will be a valued member of the technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will:
Lead end-to-end delivery of application features and user stories from design and development through deployment and production support.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, helping resolve complex technical challenges and ensuring delivery excellence.
Design and develop secure, high-performance full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern front-end technologies.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, execution, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you need to have to be considered
9+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java Full Stack development.
Proven experience in a Technical Lead role managing client interactions, technical delivery, and team coordination.
Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with front-end technologies including Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
Experience with build and deployment tools including Maven, Gradle, Git, JUnit, Mockito, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong knowledge of cloud and DevOps technologies including GitHub, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Amazon Corretto 17.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and delivering sprint-based development initiatives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across onsite and offshore teams.
These will help you stand out
Experience with React, Lit, Node.js, or other modern front-end frameworks.
Prior experience in the Airline industry or aviation-related technology programs.
Hands-on experience with IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, Postman, SoapUI, Dynatrace, Grafana, LogDNA, and related development tools.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
