Job Summary
This role is for a Sr Product Configurator ISG with six to nine years of experience working in a hybrid model day shift and no travel. The position focuses on configuration and testing of insurance products using Oracle PL SQL XSLT XML and OIPA platforms including Rule Palette and OIPA architecture to deliver reliable policy administration solutions that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Design and configure complex insurance product solutions using OIPA rule palette and architecture to ensure accurate policy administration and streamlined business workflows.Develop and optimize Oracle PL SQL components to support product configuration rules data transformations and integration logic within the OIPA ecosystem for high performance and scalability.Create and maintain XSLT transformations and XML schemas to enable reliable data exchange between OIPA external systems and internal services while preserving business context and data quality.Execute comprehensive OIPA testing across functional regression integration and user acceptance scenarios to verify configuration behavior and stability under real world conditions.Analyze configuration defects and production issues by reviewing PL SQL code rule logic and XML payloads and then implement precise corrections that prevent future recurrence and enhance system resilience.Collaborate with product managers business analysts and implementation teams to translate insurance product requirements into detailed OIPA configuration designs that align with operational processes and regulatory standards.Document configuration designs technical decisions and test evidence in a structured manner to support audit readiness cross team knowledge sharing and sustainable long term maintenance.Coordinate with enterprise architects and integration engineers to align OIPA architecture decisions with broader system landscapes ensuring that product configuration and data flows support strategic modernization goals.Conduct impact analysis for configuration changes using OIPA tools and database queries to predict downstream effects on existing policies transactions reports and interfaces and propose mitigation actions.Provide configuration support during release cycles by preparing deployment packages validating environment readiness and performing post release checks that protect business continuity.Guide junior configurators and testers by sharing best practices in OIPA rule design PL SQL coding standards and test approaches thereby elevating team capability and delivery quality.Engage with operations and support teams to understand recurring user pain points and then refine configuration rules and workflows in OIPA to reduce manual work and improve service turnaround times.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing automation opportunities in testing data validation and configuration promotion processes using existing Oracle and OIPA tools.
Qualifications
Possess strong hands on experience in Oracle PL SQL including writing complex queries procedures and packages that directly support insurance product configuration and data processing needs.Demonstrate advanced proficiency with XSLT and XML including the design of transformation templates and validation structures that facilitate reliable integration between OIPA and surrounding systems.Bring deep practical knowledge of OIPA rule palette including creation modification and troubleshooting of product rules underwriting rules and financial transaction logic in real project environments.Show solid understanding of OIPA architecture and its components such as policy lifecycle processing data entities and batch flows to design solutions that are robust and maintainable.Exhibit proven experience in OIPA testing that covers test planning test case design test execution and defect management to ensure high quality configuration deliveries.Apply familiarity with OIPA work model and hybrid delivery practices to collaborate effectively with distributed stakeholders while maintaining productivity in day shift operations.Utilize strong analytical and communication abilities to explain complex configuration behavior to nontechnical partners and to document solutions that support clear alignment with organizational objectives.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Oracle PL SQL Developer certification and training in OIPA configuration or equivalent insurance platform specialization.
