Senior Java Full Stack Engineer | Spring Boot | React/Angular | AWS

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to design and build secure, scalable, cloud-native applications. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership across backend, frontend, microservices, AWS, CI/CD, and modern AI-assisted engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate services using Kafka
  • Develop frontend applications using React or Angular
  • Deploy and support cloud-native solutions on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD, security, and application resiliency best practices
  • Troubleshoot production issues and automate recurring operational problems
  • Use enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and code quality
  • Provide technical guidance and promote reusable engineering patterns across teams

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of software engineering/full-stack development experience
  • Strong Java & Spring Boot development experience
  • Hands-on Microservices & REST API development
  • React/ReactJS or Angular
  • AWS, Docker & Kubernetes
  • Kafka and Cassandra/NoSQL experience
  • CI/CD and automation experience
  • Testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or Cucumber
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, security, and application resiliency
  • Experience with AI-assisted software development tools
  • Financial services experience is highly preferred

Best-fit profile: A hands-on Java Full Stack Engineer with strong Spring Boot/microservices expertise, modern frontend experience, and solid AWS/cloud-native engineering skills.

Compensation: - $80,000 to $115,000 + COLA and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 11/8/2026
