Mainframe Support Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate needs a strong background in Natural Adabas COBOL CICS DB2 and JCL and possess deep expertise in Natural Adabas. This role requires analyzing existing Natural Adabas modules to understand the current system followed by implementing solutions based on new enhancement plans. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaborate directly with customers and/or other vendors.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze and understand current system functionality by reviewing existing Natural Adabas modules.

• Follow and execute implementation plans aligned with new system architecture.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using Natural Adabas ,COBOL, DB2, and JCL.

• Work directly with customers and/or other vendors to gather requirements, resolve issues, and provide technical and production support.

• Ensure high-quality, efficient, and robust solutions are delivered on time.

• Document technical specifications, implementation steps, and system changes

Location: Charlotte, NC

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Natural Adabas, COBOL, DB2, JCL - At least 5 years of experience
  • CICS and Stored Procedure knowledge is added advantage
  • Knowledge on mainframe tools like N2O, Expeditor, Abend aid would be helpful

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $65K – $117K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
