About the role
As a Principal Software Architect – Cloud & Microservices, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions using AWS and .NET technologies. You will leverage your extensive experience to drive innovation and efficiency in our systems ensuring robust and scalable architecture. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing our capabilities in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain contributing to the company’s growth and societal impact.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Lead the design and architecture of complex software solutions using Docker Container and Microservices.NET to ensure scalability and performance.
• Oversee the implementation of Cloud Design Patterns to optimize resource utilization and enhance system reliability.
• Provide technical guidance on .Net Framework and SQL Server to ensure robust and efficient database management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Restful APIs that facilitate seamless integration and communication between systems.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices in software development and architecture.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making to align technology initiatives with business goals.
• Drive innovation by staying updated with emerging technologies and trends in the software industry.
Work Model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Hartford, CT.

What you need to have to be considered:
Key Primary Skills (Must have):
• Demonstrate expertise Cloud Design Patterns.
• Possess strong knowledge of .Net Framework, SQL Server, and Restful APIs.
• Experience in AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in .Net Core, ASP.NET Core, MSTEST, and XUNIT is required.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
