Job Summary
This hybrid role is for a developer with three to five years of experience who specializes in Python and Snowflake SQL within a multinational environment. The role focuses on building reliable data solutions that improve business decision making and operational efficiency. The developer will collaborate across teams follow best engineering practices and support sustainable growth through high quality code and analytics.
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data processing solutions using Python to support analytics and reporting needs across multiple business domainsDevelop optimized Snowflake SQL scripts to load transform and query large data sets in a reliable and efficient mannerBuild reusable Python modules and utilities that streamline data integration validation and transformation activities for project teamsCreate and maintain robust data pipelines that move data from diverse source systems into Snowflake in a timely and accurate fashionImplement detailed data quality checks using Python and Snowflake SQL to ensure that insights delivered to stakeholders remain trustworthy and actionableCollaborate with data engineers analysts and product teams to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plansOptimize Snowflake queries and table structures to reduce compute costs while maintaining strong performance for critical business workloadsDocument technical solutions data models and job schedules in a clear and organized way so that other team members can easily maintain and extend the workAssist in monitoring scheduled data jobs identify failures or performance issues and apply corrective actions to minimize impact on downstream usersContribute to code reviews and follow secure coding practices to ensure that Python and SQL solutions are maintainable and compliant with organizational standardsSupport analytics and reporting teams by providing curated data sets and helping them troubleshoot data issues using Python based toolingParticipate in hybrid work model ceremonies through virtual and in person collaboration to align on sprint goals priorities and delivery timelinesContinuously enhance technical skills in Python Snowflake SQL and modern data tools to bring innovative solutions that improve company productivity and societal outcomes
Qualifications
Maintain solid hands on experience in Python including strong proficiency with data manipulation libraries and scripting for automationDemonstrate proven experience of at least three years in writing complex Snowflake SQL queries and managing Snowflake based data workflowsApply practical knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as star schemas slowly changing dimensions and partitioning using Python and SnowflakeExhibit familiarity with version control tools and collaborative development practices to manage code changes safely across hybrid teamsUtilize exposure to cloud platforms and related services that integrate with Snowflake to enhance data solution design and deploymentShow strong problem solving and communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders while delivering reliable and ethical data solutions
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include SnowPro Core Certification or equivalent cloud data engineering certification focusing on Snowflake and Python.
