Job Summary
Data Analyst role for an experienced professional with strong expertise in Data Analysis Amazon RDS Amazon S three AWS EC two AWS EMR Big Data and Python responsible for designing scalable secure and cost effective data platforms on cloud for global clients in a hybrid work model ensuring reliable analytics solutions that support critical business decision making and sustainable growth for the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Design end to end cloud data architectures that leverage Amazon RDS Amazon S three AWS EC two and AWS EMR to deliver scalable analytics platforms that align with enterprise standards and performance goals.
- Develop robust data processing pipelines using Python and Big Data services to ingest transform and curate structured and unstructured data from diverse source systems into optimized data stores.
- Collaborate with product owners data engineers and analysts to translate analytical requirements into detailed solution designs that maximize reuse reliability and measurable business value.
- Optimize the configuration of Amazon RDS Amazon S three AWS EC two and AWS EMR clusters to achieve the right balance of cost performance security and operational resilience for each workload.
- Define and implement data partitioning indexing and storage lifecycle strategies that improve query performance reduce latency and ensure efficient use of storage in the cloud environment.
- Establish data security encryption access control and auditing patterns across all cloud data components to help meet regulatory obligations and company policies while protecting sensitive information.
- Create infrastructure as code specifications using Python based tooling or cloud native templates to enable repeatable provisioning version control and automated deployment of data platforms.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams on best practices for error handling logging observability and recovery in data processing workloads to improve supportability and minimize downtime.
- Conduct performance testing and capacity planning for data solutions analyzing workloads to forecast resource needs and recommending architectural adjustments before issues impact users.
- Document solution architectures data flows integration patterns and operational runbooks in a clear and maintainable manner so that global teams can efficiently support and extend the platforms.
- Coordinate with security compliance and operations stakeholders to review designs address risk findings and ensure that data platforms are ready for production use within corporate governance frameworks.
- Engage with client and internal business teams during design and implementation phases to explain architectural choices and demonstrate how the solutions contribute to efficient operations and better services for end customers.
- Continuously research new cloud data capabilities and Python frameworks evaluating their applicability to current platforms and proposing improvements that enhance sustainability efficiency and future readiness.
Qualifications
- Require eight to ten years of progressive experience in designing and implementing data or analytics solutions with significant hands on work in cloud environments.
- Require strong practical expertise with Amazon RDS including schema design performance tuning backup strategies and high availability configurations for transactional and analytical workloads.
- Require advanced experience with Amazon S three for data lake architectures including bucket organization lifecycle policies data catalog integration and secure data sharing across teams.
- Require solid experience with AWS EC two and AWS EMR for distributed data processing including cluster sizing job orchestration workload optimization and cost control for Big Data workloads.
- Require strong proficiency in Python for building data pipelines automation scripts and utilities with an emphasis on clean coding practices testing and maintainability.
- Require hands on experience with Big Data concepts such as distributed storage parallel processing message driven ingestion and batch or near real time data processing.
- Nice to have exposure to additional AWS analytics services such as data warehousing streaming ingestion tools or monitoring platforms that complement the core Amazon RDS Amazon S three and AWS EMR based solutions.
- Nice to have experience working in hybrid work models with globally distributed teams demonstrating effective communication documentation and self management in day shift engagements.
