Job Summary
This entry level position in finance and accounting focuses on accurate transaction processing reconciliation and reporting using spreadsheets and core finance tools. The role supports global operations during night shift work from office ensuring data integrity timely updates and clear communication in English to enable reliable business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily recording of finance and accounting transactions in company systems to ensure accurate and timely capture of business activity
- Maintain organized and up to date spreadsheets using MS Excel to track invoices payments accruals and adjustments for assigned entities
- Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts to supporting details to identify discrepancies and escalate issues for resolution
- Validate source documents and data entries against finance policies to reduce errors and support reliable financial statements
- Support month end and quarter end closing activities by compiling schedules running standard reports and updating working files
- Generate routine finance and accounting reports in MS Excel that summarize trends variances and key indicators for review by senior staff
- Respond to queries from internal stakeholders regarding posted transactions and balances by providing clear data backed explanations
- Collaborate with team members in night shift to hand off accurate status updates and ensure continuity of finance and accounting processes
- Follow internal controls and compliance guidelines in all processing steps to support audit readiness and risk mitigation for the organization
- Identify recurring data issues in spreadsheets and propose simple enhancements such as validations or standardized formats to improve quality
- Assist in documenting procedures templates and checklists for repetitive finance and accounting tasks to support consistency and training
- Coordinate with cross functional teams through email and scheduled calls in English to obtain clarifications approvals and missing information
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing observations from daily processing that can streamline finance operations and add value to the business
Qualifications
- Demonstrate foundational understanding of finance and accounting concepts such as debits credits reconciliations and basic financial statements
- Apply strong MS Excel skills including use of formulas filters sorting and basic pivot analysis to manage and analyze finance data efficiently
- Communicate clearly in English in written and spoken form to document work explain findings and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
- Exhibit high attention to detail and numerical accuracy to minimize posting errors and support reliable financial reporting outcomes
- Adapt effectively to night shift work from office requirements while maintaining productivity teamwork and service quality for global operations
- Show willingness to learn new finance tools workflows and policies through training self study and feedback from more experienced professionals
Certifications Required
Any basic certification in MS Excel or finance fundamentals such as an entry level accounting or spreadsheet certification
