Job summary

Installs configures hardens and extends the Flowsource instance inside the clients cloud environment Azure AWS or GCP Owns the catalog architecture plugin development golden path templates authentication wiring and ongoing platform health Translates the clients engineering standards into scaffolding templates so Flowsource becomes the authoritative developer portal across every registered application not an optional layer on top of legacy tooling


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and configure the Flowsource platform on the clients chosen cloud Azure AWS or GCP per the Technical Prerequisites baseline

Configure authentication and authorization GitHub SSO Azure AD AWS Cognito or Keycloak and map client identity roles to Flowsource permissions

Architect and govern the Flowsource catalog component model ownership taxonomy namespace strategy lifecycle states

Develop and publish golden path scaffolding templates that encode the clients engineering standards language framework repo layout CICD wiring security gates

Develop custom Backstage plugins and TypeScript extensions where client specific tooling needs to surface inside the Flowsource portal

Manage Flowsource platform upgrades patching and platform layer monitoring maintain the control plane health within agreed SLA

Partner with the clients platform engineering team to progressively transition catalog governance to client ownership Medium to Large engagements

Required Skills and Experience

8 plus years platform or DevOps engineering experience 3 plus years on internal developer platforms Backstage strongly preferred

Hands on Backstage internals entity model software templates custom plugins scaffolder actions

Proficiency in TypeScript and Nodejs for plugin development

Infrastructure as code expertise Terraform mandatory Pulumi CloudFormation Bicep helpful

Multi cloud IAM literacy at least one of Azure AD AWS IAM GCP IAM at depth aware of the others

Container and orchestration foundations Docker Kubernetes

Flowsource Tooling and Tech Stack

Flowsource core Backstage based catalog YAML software templates

Cloud providers Azure AWS GCP deployment targets

Identity GitHub SSO Azure AD AWS Cognito Keycloak 23x
