Job summary
GeoSpatial Analyst MAP with extensive expertise in SAP SD Testing and SAP SD will analyze complex geographic and sales distribution data to enhance supply chain performance in a hybrid work model. The role focuses on optimizing routes territories and order fulfillment processes collaborating across business and technology teams to drive efficient consumer goods distribution and support strategic decision making.
Responsibilities
- Analyze spatial data from enterprise systems to derive actionable insights that optimize sales distribution patterns and supply chain flows across diverse geographic regions ensuring efficient product availability for customers and stakeholders.
- Design and maintain geospatial models that integrate SAP SD transactional data with location intelligence to improve order routing delivery planning and regional demand forecasting for business units.
- Collaborate with SAP SD testers and business analysts to validate end to end data flows between geospatial solutions and SAP SD modules ensuring accuracy of pricing delivery and customer master information across markets.
- Develop and refine reusable test scenarios and data sets for SAP SD Testing that incorporate geospatial attributes enabling robust validation of territory assignments shipping conditions and logistic routes.
- Evaluate complex supply chain processes for consumer goods using map based analytics identifying bottlenecks in transportation warehousing and last mile delivery and recommending data driven improvements.
- Create detailed dashboards and map visualizations that present key performance indicators related to order fulfillment regional sales performance and supply chain disruptions in formats that are easy for business teams to interpret.
- Coordinate with demand planning distribution and customer service teams to ensure geospatial analysis aligns with real world constraints such as service level expectations inventory positioning and carrier capacities.
- Document geospatial analysis methods data transformations and SAP SD Testing approaches in clear technical narratives that support audit readiness knowledge transfer and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assess the impact of new business rules and configuration changes in SAP SD on geospatial models recommending updates to algorithms and data structures that preserve consistency and reliability of insights.
- Automate data extraction and quality checks for geospatial and SAP SD data sources using approved tools reducing manual effort and increasing timeliness of reporting for supply chain and commercial stakeholders.
- Support continuous enhancement of hybrid work practices by enabling secure remote access to geospatial tools maintaining performance standards for map rendering and ensuring responsive collaboration with onsite teams.
- Participate in cross functional workshops to translate strategic supply chain goals into geospatial use cases prioritizing initiatives that improve sustainability reduce waste and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide thought guidance on emerging trends in geoanalytics and digital supply chain proposing practical pilots that use existing SAP SD and mapping capabilities to create measurable business impact.
Qualifications
- Bring strong experience in SAP SD Testing with deep understanding of order to cash pricing delivery processing and data integrity concepts applied to complex enterprise landscapes.
- Demonstrate advanced practical knowledge of SAP SD configuration and processes including customer master data material listings shipping conditions and billing flows relevant to geospatial analysis.
- Apply proven expertise in supply chain management to interpret logistics networks service levels and inventory strategies translating them into meaningful geospatial models and metrics.
- Offer solid exposure to consumer goods supply chains including channel structures promotion driven demand variation and distribution patterns that influence geospatial optimization opportunities.
- Utilize strong skills in geospatial data analysis and mapping tools to manage large spatial data sets perform proximity and route analyses and present insights in clear visual narratives.
- Employ disciplined testing and documentation practices including test case design defect tracking and root cause analysis ensuring that geospatial and SAP SD solutions meet quality expectations.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business partners synthesizing complex spatial and SAP SD information into transparent explanations that support informed decision making.
Certifications Required
SAP SD certification plus any recognized geospatial or GIS analytics certification such as ESRI or equivalent.
