Job Summary

This hybrid role is for a software engineer with three to five years of experience in Java development responsible for designing coding testing and maintaining robust applications that support global business operations while ensuring high performance reliability and security in a collaborative and inclusive environment.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust Java based applications that align with enterprise standards and directly support core business processes through efficient and maintainable code
  • Develop clean modular and well documented Java components that enable seamless integration with existing systems and improve long term scalability and performance
  • Analyze functional and technical requirements in partnership with product and architecture teams to translate them into practical Java solutions that deliver measurable business value
  • Optimize application performance by profiling Java services identifying bottlenecks and applying tuning techniques to enhance responsiveness and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in a hybrid work model to clarify requirements share technical insights and ensure effective end to end delivery of software features
  • Create and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests for Java code using appropriate testing frameworks to improve quality reduce defects and support stable releases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in Java applications by performing root cause analysis implementing corrective changes and documenting preventive measures
  • Contribute to secure coding practices in Java by addressing common vulnerabilities using approved libraries and aligning with organizational security policies and standards
  • Participate in code reviews by providing constructive feedback on Java implementations encouraging adherence to coding guidelines and fostering continuous improvement within the team
  • Document technical designs data flows and configuration details for Java services to support operational transparency future enhancements and effective knowledge sharing
  • Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support build automation deployment pipelines and environment configurations that enhance reliability of Java application delivery
  • Engage in continuous learning on modern Java frameworks tools and patterns to propose improvements that keep solutions current and contribute to the resilience of enterprise platforms
  • Support business stakeholders by explaining technical tradeoffs in accessible terms and ensuring that delivered Java solutions help create positive impact for customers and society through efficient digital services


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in core Java and related ecosystems with proven experience building and maintaining production grade applications over at least three years
  • Apply practical knowledge of object oriented design patterns data structures and algorithms to develop Java solutions that are efficient scalable and easy to understand
  • Utilize experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring or similar technologies to build modular services that integrate cleanly with enterprise platforms
  • Show familiarity with relational databases and structured query capabilities to design schemas and queries that work efficiently with Java persistence layers
  • Use modern development practices including version control tools code review workflows and hybrid collaboration methods to maintain code quality and team alignment
  • Display an understanding of testing methodologies with exposure to automated testing frameworks for Java which helps ensure reliable and maintainable software
  • Exhibit strong problem solving and communication skills that enable effective collaboration in a multicultural environment and contribute to solutions that support inclusive digital experiences


Certifications Required

Oracle Certified Professional Java SE or similar industry recognized Java certification preferred
