About the role

As a Java Full Stack Engineer – React & AWS, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting scalable full-stack applications that enable complex business workflows and deliver reliable user experiences. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with product managers, analysts, domain experts, and engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have 5-8 years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and AWS.

  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, responsive web design, and mobile user interface development.

  • Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, or MySQL and relational data modeling.

  • Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, DevOps practices, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

  • Experience debugging, monitoring, and optimizing applications using tools such as Splunk, Kibana, SonarQube, or Fiddler.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with React Native, Node.js, Angular, jQuery, Backbone.js, or Underscore.js.

  • Familiarity with content management platforms such as Liferay, WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.

  • Experience with user interface and user experience design tools, including Adobe Photoshop or Dreamweaver.

  • Experience supporting energy trading, forecasting, risk visibility, or utility-sector applications.

  • Knowledge of secure application design, performance optimization, automated testing, and production support.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $68K – $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
