Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior C# .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and SQL Server, with exposure to Angular for front-end development. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in architectural discussions, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain robust applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Develop and optimize database objects, queries, stored procedures, and data models in SQL Server.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
Work with Angular to develop and enhance user interfaces, implement UI components, and consume backend APIs.
Develop and maintain scalable, responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and related frontend technologies.
Design and integrate reusable UI components, services, and RESTful APIs to deliver seamless user experiences and business functionality.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing within the team.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
Strong experience in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server, database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
Experience developing and consuming RESTful services.
Knowledge of Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar source control and CI/CD tools.
Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of Angular for UI development and maintenance.
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Exposure to Microservices architecture and Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
Knowledge of application security, performance tuning, and best coding practices.
Nice to Have
Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, or API Management experience.
Experience working in enterprise-scale digital transformation projects.
Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
Compensation: - $90,000 to $115,000 + COLA and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 10/8/2026
