Job Summary

The Advanced Mobile Test Analyst role focuses on end to end validation of automotive mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms ensuring robust quality for connected vehicle features in a hybrid work model. The role involves hands on test design execution and automation for automotive verification and validation collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver secure reliable and user centric digital mobility experiences that enhance safety and convenience for customers.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to refine automotive mobile application requirements for Android and iOS ensuring clarity testability and alignment with business goals for connected vehicle features.
  • Design comprehensive verification and validation strategies for automotive mobile solutions covering functional integration regression and system testing to ensure consistent quality across platforms.
  • Develop detailed test scenarios and test cases for mobile applications used in automotive contexts focusing on safety critical workflows connectivity and in vehicle interaction use cases.
  • Execute manual tests for Android and iOS automotive apps on a diverse set of devices and operating system versions documenting results with clear evidence and structured defect reports.
  • Create and maintain mobile test automation suites using industry standard frameworks to increase coverage and repeatability for automotive verification and validation.
  • Analyze test results and defect trends to identify root causes highlight systemic issues and recommend practical improvements in design code or test approach.
  • Coordinate closely with automotive domain experts and backend teams to validate end to end flows such as telematics remote commands and over the air interactions for mobile channels.
  • Perform non functional testing for mobile apps such as performance responsiveness battery impact and network resilience in realistic driving or usage scenarios.
  • Support integration and smoke testing during releases ensuring mobile builds meet acceptance criteria for day shift deployments and hybrid work coordination.
  • Prepare clear test reports dashboards and release readiness summaries that communicate quality risks defect status and coverage metrics to stakeholders.
  • Participate in code reviews of test automation suggest optimizations and ensure that automated tests remain stable maintainable and aligned with evolving automotive features.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities by refining test processes introducing new tools and sharing best practices across teams to enhance verification and validation effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and support occasional travel to customer or test track locations when required for on site validation field testing and collaboration with partner teams.


Qualifications

  • Offer a solid professional background of five to nine years in software testing with significant focus on mobile applications demonstrating progressive responsibility and depth of expertise.
  • Apply strong hands on experience in automotive verification and validation including understanding of automotive standards safety expectations and connected vehicle ecosystems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in testing Android mobile applications including installation configuration permissions interactions with native components and troubleshooting environment issues.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in testing iOS mobile applications including provisioning certificates device management and alignment with platform specific guidelines and limitations.
  • Utilize proven experience in mobile test automation using common frameworks and scripting languages with the ability to design reusable and data driven test suites.
  • Apply strong skills in manual mobile testing including exploratory techniques usability assessment and validation of user journeys across diverse devices and screen sizes.
  • Use familiarity with automotive mobile solutions such as remote vehicle control diagnostics and telematics data visualization to design realistic and meaningful tests.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving abilities with capacity to interpret logs traces and backend responses to isolate defects in complex integrated systems.
  • Communicate clearly in spoken and written form with cross functional teams providing concise updates risk assessments and test documentation suitable for global stakeholders.
  • Adapt effectively to a hybrid work model by managing time tools and collaboration practices while remaining open to required travel for critical on site automotive validations.


Certifications Required

ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent mobile testing certification preferred
