About the role

As a Senior Consulting Manager, Investment & Client Data and Information Delivery, you will make an impact by providing strategic and operational leadership across investment data, client reporting, and information-delivery capabilities for a leading asset management client.

You will own the end-to-end delivery of timely, accurate, controlled, and client-ready investment information while advancing data governance, operating-model improvements, reporting scalability, and platform modernization. You will collaborate with Investments, Client Service, Operations, Data, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and external service providers to improve data quality, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall client experience.

In this role, you will

  • Lead the strategy, operating model, and day-to-day delivery of investment data, client reporting, and information services across institutional and intermediary channels, ensuring deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, quality, and timeliness requirements.
  • Oversee the sourcing, validation, enrichment, governance, and distribution of securities, holdings, transactions, benchmarks, performance, attribution, exposures, portfolio accounting, and client data.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to define future-state data and reporting architecture, business requirements, implementation priorities, and transformation roadmaps involving data platforms, reporting tools, workflow automation, self-service capabilities, and client portals.
  • Strengthen enterprise data governance by establishing clear data ownership, lineage, metadata, data-quality rules, reconciliations, approval standards, service-level agreements, issue-management practices, capacity plans, and management metrics.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and strategic vendors, manage complex delivery issues and escalations, drive root-cause analysis and sustainable improvements, and provide executive reporting on service performance, risks, incidents, demand, and transformation progress.

What you must have to be considered

  • 12-15 years of progressive experience in investment data, client reporting, information delivery, investment operations, or related asset management functions, including significant experience leading teams and enterprise-scale transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of asset management data and processes, including securities, holdings, transactions, benchmarks, performance, attribution, exposures, portfolio accounting, and institutional or intermediary client reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end information-delivery services with rigorous expectations for accuracy, timeliness, data quality, governance, operational risk, controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead data and reporting transformation initiatives from strategy and requirements through implementation, adoption, and operational stabilization.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

These will help you succeed

  • Experience with enterprise investment-data platforms, data warehouses or data lakes, portfolio accounting systems, performance and attribution platforms, CRM solutions, client-reporting technologies, and vendor-based data services.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data analytics and visualization, APIs, cloud data platforms, workflow tools, automation, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Experience managing third-party market or reference data providers, reporting vendors, outsourced service partners, and associated service, risk, and performance reviews.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, books-and-records, data retention, and operational-risk requirements affecting investment and client information.
  • An MBA, CFA, CIPM, or relevant data-management, Agile, or project-management certification.
