About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps solutions to support our technology-driven organization. You will be a valued member of our team, collaborating closely with stakeholders across IT and business functions to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Ansible, and YAML.
- Manage and support Red Hat Linux environments, including shell scripting and automation.
- Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (including Red Hat OpenShift or equivalent platforms).
- Oversee incident, change, and configuration management processes in line with ITIL best practices.
- Implement and monitor observability solutions using Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack.
- Support and optimize Oracle or other relational database environments.
- Manage Kafka topics and ensure reliable messaging within distributed systems.
- Contribute to lifecycle management, risk management, and comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprints and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure service availability and rapid incident response.
What you need to have to be considered:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines using YAML, Ansible, Git).
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, especially Red Hat Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift).
- Proven track record in incident, change, and configuration management (ITIL).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
- Familiarity with Oracle or other relational databases.
- Experience with Kafka topics and distributed messaging.
- Strong documentation, lifecycle management, and risk management skills.
- Experience or strong interest in the Payments domain, especially SEPA Direct Debits.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
These will help you stand out:
- Previous operations experience within ING.
- Understanding of Java and Spring Framework concepts.
- Experience with GridGain, Apache Ignite, or other in-memory data solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
- Interest in automation of repetitive tasks.
