We are seeking an experienced PEP+ Application Developer with strong mainframe development expertise to support and enhance Fiserv payment processing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with PEP+ applications in high‑volume transaction environments and a solid background in mainframe technologies.
In this role, you will:
Develop, enhance, and support Fiserv PEP+ payment applications
Perform hands-on development and maintenance of mainframe-based systems
Work on high volume, real-time transaction processing applications
Develop and modify programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
Integrate mainframe applications with distributed systems and microservices
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis

What you need to have to be considered
Strong experience with Fiserv PEP+ applications
Hands-on mainframe development experience
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
Good understanding of payment processing systems
Experience working in high availability, high throughput environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to $ 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
