Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Audit & Security Controls Analyst to support internal and external audits across application, infrastructure, and security domains. This role focuses on audit coordination, evidence management, control testing, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking, with strong exposure to IT General Controls (ITGC) and SOX compliance.

In this role, you will:

· Track audit requests and route them to appropriate application, infrastructure, and security owners

· Collect, review, and validate technical audit evidence to ensure it meets audit intent and requirements

· Facilitate audit walkthrough meetings with stakeholders; document meeting minutes and follow up on action items

· Support all phases of audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and remediation

· Perform periodic internal quality checks on IT and security controls

· Track, manage, and report on audit findings through remediation and closure

· Support SOX audits and IT General Controls (ITGC) assessments

· Coordinate with security teams on vulnerability management and risk remediation activities

What you need to have to be considered

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field

· 3+ years of experience in IT audit, security controls, risk management, or compliance

· Knowledge of enterprise IT environments (applications, infrastructure, and security)

· Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGC) and SOX audit domains

· Hands on experience with:

o Vulnerability Management (Security)

o Vulnerability Assessment

o Application Security

· Experience working with internal auditors, external auditors, and cross functional IT teams

· Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

· Relevant certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, Security+, or similar) are an asset.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[80,500 - 93,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
