About the role
As a Sales & Marketing Technology Architect, you will make an impact by defining and delivering end-to-end architecture for commercial capabilities across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Bid Management, and Tender Management in a pharmaceutical environment. You will be a valued member of the Technology Architecture team and work collaboratively with Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, Market Access, and IT stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Define target architecture, reference patterns, and solution blueprints for commercial platforms, data products, and analytics applications
Evaluate and recommend technology solutions (build vs. buy) based on scalability, security, cost, and business fit
Design and govern integrations across CRM, marketing platforms, and data ecosystems using APIs, event-driven, and batch patterns
Provide architectural guidance for sales planning, forecasting, bid and tender management solutions, including KPI frameworks and semantic models
Drive data modeling, BI application design, and engineering governance to ensure high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions

What you need to have to be considered
15+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, including Pharma Commercial domains
Strong experience evaluating technology platforms and defining selection criteria (scalability, security, integration feasibility, TCO)
Hands-on expertise in integration design (APIs, event streaming, batch/file, middleware/iPaaS) and non-functional requirements (resiliency, performance, observability)
Deep understanding of sales planning, forecasting, bid management, and tender lifecycle processes
Strong data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, semantic layers) and experience translating business KPIs into governed metrics
Experience building BI/analytics solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar) with self-service and governance
Proven ability to review technical artifacts (HLD/LLD, data models, architecture diagrams) and influence engineering and business stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
These will help you stand out
Experience with Salesforce, Veeva, commercial pharma platforms, or bid/tender management solutions
Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data engineering architectures (lakehouse, ELT/ETL)
Familiarity with syndicated pharma datasets (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony) and commercial KPIs
Knowledge of MDM, data governance frameworks, and regulated environments
Experience working with architecture review boards and enterprise standards

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until June 14, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 120,000 - $ 150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
