Job Summary

Serve as a product specialist for manufacturing execution solutions applying expertise in MES integration plant applications and analytics to design configure and optimize digital production workflows. Develop and deployment of MES solution using GE Proficy Plant Apps MES.


Responsibilities

  • Design and configure MES solutions across L4 L3 and L2 integration layers to ensure consistent data flow between enterprise systems production control and shop floor equipment while maintaining high system reliability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between GE Proficy Plant Applications MES layers and related operational systems to support standardized production tracking quality monitoring and equipment utilization reporting.
  • Create and optimize Thingworx Suite applications including mashups services and data models to provide intuitive role based views that empower users to make timely operational decisions.
  • Author robust SQL scripting solutions to extract transform and load production and quality data while ensuring accuracy traceability and alignment with enterprise data standards.
  • Design and deliver SQL Server Reporting Services reports and dashboards that convert complex manufacturing data into clear actionable insights for operations engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Apply generative AI techniques to assist in root cause analysis knowledge search and intelligent recommendations that reduce investigation time and improve decision making in manufacturing scenarios.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to translate manufacturing process requirements and domain knowledge into detailed functional and technical specifications that guide solution design and configuration.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to support hybrid work schedules ensuring timely communication clear documentation and smooth handoffs across onsite and remote contributors.
  • Execute system testing including unit integration and user acceptance tests to validate that MES integrations Thingworx applications and reports meet defined requirements and performance expectations.
  • Provide structured production support by investigating incidents performing impact analysis and implementing corrective actions that minimize downtime and preserve data integrity.
  • Document configurations interfaces data flows and operational procedures in a clear reusable format that supports maintainability onboarding and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback prioritize enhancements and refine product features so that solutions contribute to safer more efficient and more sustainable manufacturing operations.
  • Align daily activities with organizational purpose by enabling transparent data flows that support resource efficiency reduced waste and more resilient supply chains.

  • Qualifications

  • Apply practical experience in MES L4 L3 and L2 integration to design solutions that connect planning systems plant supervision and equipment control in a coherent and maintainable architecture.
  • Leverage strong hands on expertise with GE Proficy Plant Applications to configure models parameters and workflows that reflect real production processes and regulatory constraints.
  • Use proven proficiency with Thingworx Suite to build scalable applications that integrate device data business rules and analytics into a unified operational experience.
  • Employ solid SQL scripting capabilities to design queries procedures and data validation routines that support reporting analytics and reliable system integrations.
  • Utilize practical experience with SQL Server Reporting Services to produce standardized and ad hoc reports that satisfy business regulatory and performance monitoring needs.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of generative AI concepts and tools to create assisted analysis content automation or intelligent search capabilities within manufacturing data contexts.
  • Draw on manufacturing domain knowledge to interpret production metrics quality indicators and equipment behavior and to communicate insights clearly to technical and non technical audiences.
  • Apply understanding of supply chain consumer goods processes when relevant to design solutions that enhance demand responsiveness product traceability and service levels in that domain.
  • Demonstrate four to seven years of relevant professional experience in product specialist system analyst or similar roles focused on MES integration analytics or industrial applications.
  • Operate effectively in a hybrid work model by managing time communication and collaboration tools so that project milestones are met without the need for frequent travel.
  • Maintain strong problem solving and communication skills that support constructive collaboration with diverse teams and contribute to measurable improvements in production and business outcomes.
