Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong Python and Spark skills to support data engineering and analytics initiatives. This role involves working with large datasets using Databricks, developing data processing logic, and collaborating with business and product teams to deliver data-driven solutions. You will play a key role in transforming business requirements into technical implementations while ensuring data accuracy and quality. The position requires hands-on coding, SQL expertise, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

In this role, you will:

· Develop and maintain data processing workflows using Python and Spark on Databricks.

· Collaborate with BSA and product teams to understand and translate requirements into technical solutions.

· Write Python and SQL code to process, validate, and analyze data.

· Maintain and update source-to-target mapping documents.

· Perform unit testing and support defect resolution in collaboration with QA and business testers.

· Coordinate with administrators for deployments and version control activities.

· Work closely with offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery and collaboration.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions.

What you need to have to be considered

· 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis / Data Engineering roles.

· Strong expertise in Python and Spark for data processing.

· Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation.

· Experience working with Databricks platform.

· Basic understanding of ETL/data pipelines and big data processing concepts.

· Experience with version control and collaborative development practices is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[62,550 - 84,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
