Role: Sr Network Engineer
Location: Boston, MA or Cambridge, MA
Experience- 8-12 years

· Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, and data center network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
· Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar) across multiple sites.
· Monitor network performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and latency.
· Manage network security controls including firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems in line with company security policies.
· Lead network upgrade, migration, and expansion projects, including planning, testing, and documentation.
· Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams (systems, security, and application teams) to support infrastructure and business initiatives.
· Provide onsite hands-on support for hardware installations, cabling, data center operations, and incident response.
· Mentor junior network engineers and maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000- $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
