Job Summary

Sr Business Analyst will drive advanced business analysis and planning initiatives in finance and accounting translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders while working from office during day shifts. The role focuses on optimizing financial performance improving planning accuracy and enabling data informed decisions that support sustainable business growth and societal value creation.


Responsibilities

  • Drive comprehensive business analysis across finance and accounting functions to identify performance trends process gaps and improvement opportunities that directly support organizational efficiency and strategic business outcomes.
  • Lead planning cycles for budgeting forecasting and financial scenario analysis by consolidating inputs validating assumptions and ensuring alignment between operational drivers and financial targets to enhance decision quality.
  • Develop detailed business requirement documents and functional specifications for finance and accounting initiatives by translating stakeholder needs into structured verifiable requirements that reduce delivery risks and rework.
  • Collaborate with finance accounting and operations teams to map current state processes define optimized future state workflows and recommend practical solutions that improve accuracy speed and control across transaction and reporting cycles.
  • Analyze financial and operational data using advanced methods to uncover cost drivers revenue trends margin patterns and working capital insights that enable the company to allocate resources more responsibly and sustainably.
  • Prepare clear and insightful business analysis reports dashboards and presentations that summarize findings quantify impacts and propose prioritised actions for senior stakeholders fostering transparent and informed decision making.
  • Coordinate with technology and analytics teams to refine existing finance and planning tools validate data integrity and support enhancements that increase user adoption reporting reliability and analytical depth.
  • Support finance and accounting planning initiatives by modelling multiple business scenarios stress testing assumptions and highlighting risks and opportunities so that strategic choices reflect long term value considerations for the company and society.
  • Facilitate structured workshops and discussions with cross functional stakeholders to clarify business objectives resolve requirement ambiguities and secure consensus on solution design that respects compliance and governance standards.
  • Monitor implemented changes in finance and planning processes by defining measurable success indicators tracking performance against baselines and recommending corrective actions to sustain improvements and benefits realisation.
  • Provide day to day analytical support to finance and accounting teams working from office during day shifts responding to urgent data questions refining forecasts and ensuring that time sensitive business decisions are grounded in accurate information.
  • Ensure that all business analysis and planning activities adhere to internal controls regulatory considerations and ethical standards so that financial insights and recommendations contribute to responsible corporate behaviour and societal trust.
  • Document key learnings best practices and repeatable analytical approaches from each initiative creating reusable frameworks that accelerate future finance and planning projects and strengthen organisational knowledge.


Qualifications

  • Possess a strong foundation in business analysis and planning with hands on experience applying structured methods such as requirements elicitation process modelling and gap analysis to complex finance and accounting environments.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of finance and accounting concepts including budgeting forecasting management reporting cost analysis and performance measurement ensuring that analytical outputs are both technically sound and practically relevant.
  • Show proven ability to work with financial data using spreadsheets or analytical tools to perform variance analysis trend evaluation and scenario modelling while maintaining high standards of data quality and consistency.
  • Exhibit clear and concise communication skills in explaining analytical findings financial implications and recommended actions to stakeholders with varied levels of financial literacy to enable shared understanding and alignment.
  • Display strong stakeholder management capabilities gained over five to seven years of experience including negotiation expectation setting and collaborative problem solving within finance accounting and business teams.
  • Apply structured problem solving and critical thinking to break down ambiguous finance and planning challenges into manageable components evaluate options objectively and propose solutions that balance short term and long term impacts.
  • Maintain continuous learning mindset in business analysis planning practices and evolving finance regulations leveraging new methods and insights to refine analytical quality and contribute to the company purpose of sustainable value creation.


Certifications Required

Certified Business Analysis Professional or equivalent finance analysis certification preferred.
