Job summary
This role is for a Technology Specialist focusing on the Murex platform with deep expertise in Datamart and reporting front office back office processing MxML integration and risk management. The Specialist will design optimize and support end to end trading and risk workflows leveraging database and SQL skills Unix shell scripting and AWS to deliver robust and scalable hybrid cloud solutions for global capital markets clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance Murex Datamart structures to deliver accurate and timely trading risk and regulatory reports that enable informed decision making for stakeholders
- Configure and optimize Murex front office workflows to support pricing booking trade capture and lifecycle management across multiple asset classes with high stability and performance
- Implement and maintain Murex back office processing to ensure robust confirmation settlement accounting and cash management processes that reduce operational risk and manual effort
- Develop and support Murex MxML interfaces to integrate trading risk and reference data with upstream and downstream systems ensuring data consistency and straight through processing
- Configure and validate Murex risk modules to support market credit and liquidity risk analytics ensuring that risk measures are accurate timely and aligned to business policies
- Author and optimize complex SQL queries database objects and tuning configurations to improve data quality reporting performance and overall system reliability
- Create and maintain Unix shell scripts to automate routine operations file transfers data loads and housekeeping tasks that enhance platform resilience and reduce manual overhead
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work environment to gather requirements design solutions and deliver Murex enhancements that align with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents across Murex modules databases and scripts providing root cause analysis and preventive actions that improve long term system stability
- Design and support deployment pipelines for Murex changes using AWS based tooling where applicable ensuring controlled releases and minimal disruption to business users
- Document technical solutions configuration changes data flows and runbooks in a clear and structured manner to support knowledge sharing and efficient onboarding of new team members
- Partner with business users to perform functional testing user acceptance testing and post implementation validation ensuring that Murex changes meet requirements and regulatory expectations
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities performance optimizations and best practices that enhance the value of Murex investments for the organization
Qualifications
- Exhibit proven experience of ten to fourteen years working with Murex platforms covering Datamart reporting front office back office processing MxML integration and risk management in complex banking environments
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in database design advanced SQL development and performance tuning with practical exposure to major relational database technologies used in capital markets
- Apply solid expertise in Unix shell scripting to support batch processes monitoring utilities and environment management across non production and production landscapes
- Utilize hands on experience with AWS services relevant to application hosting data storage and monitoring to support hybrid deployment models for Murex components
- Communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders translating complex Murex and infrastructure topics into clear and actionable information
- Display experience in working with agile or iterative delivery models including backlog refinement sprint planning and continuous integration practices tailored for Murex programs
- Showcase familiarity with capital markets products trade lifecycle events and regulatory reporting needs to design solutions that are both technically sound and business relevant
- Exhibit a strong focus on quality testing discipline and risk awareness by applying structured test strategies for Murex configuration interfaces and reporting components
- Maintain a continuous learning attitude toward new Murex features cloud patterns security practices and data engineering techniques to keep solutions current and future ready
Certifications Required
Murex Certified Specialist or equivalent Murex training AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or similar cloud certification
