About the Role
The PlanetTogether Functional Architect is responsible for leading solution design, functional configuration, and implementation delivery within a Kinaxis planning environment. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams by translating business requirements into scalable planning solutions, driving functional workstreams, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery across supply chain planning processes.
In this role, you will:
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in PlanetTogether and Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro, coupled with a strong understanding of supply chain planning best practices. This individual will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Integration Leads, project teams, and business stakeholders while mentoring junior consultants and supporting successful solution adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of PlanetTogether solutions within a Kinaxis-based planning ecosystem.
- Translate business requirements into functional designs, planning models, and system configurations.
- Manage functional workstreams, project deliverables, timelines, risks, and issue resolution activities.
- Collaborate with integration teams on data mapping, migration, validation, and reconciliation efforts.
- Partner with client stakeholders to drive alignment, solution adoption, and business value realization.
- Provide functional leadership and mentoring to junior consultants and project team members.
- Ensure adherence to implementation best practices and delivery standards across planning workstreams.
Work Model:
At Cognizant, we believe a flexible work environment supports innovation and work-life balance. This hybrid role requires employees to work 3 to 4 days per week from either a Cognizant office or client location in Phoenix, AZ, based on business and project requirements.

What you need to be considered:
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring PlanetTogether solutions.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning processes, including:
- Demand Planning
- Supply Planning
- Inventory Planning
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro configuration and solution authoring.
- Minimum 9 years of overall professional experience, including 3+ years of PlanetTogether experience.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex planning environments.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms and individual performance.
