Job Summary
This hybrid day shift Developer role focuses on designing and enhancing cloud native applications for retail banking using core AWS services such as DynamoDB CloudWatch S3 Connect Lex and Lambda. The developer will build secure and scalable solutions that improve customer experiences streamline banking operations and support the organization purpose of delivering reliable and innovative digital financial services to society.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud based application components using AWS Lambda and Amazon DynamoDB to support secure and responsive retail banking workflows for customers and internal teams.
- Develop robust integrations using Amazon S3 and related AWS services to manage transaction data and customer documents in a manner that supports compliance and efficient digital servicing in the retail banking environment.
- Build and configure conversational interfaces with Amazon Lex that enable intuitive self service experiences for retail banking customers while reducing manual effort and improving response accuracy.
- Create and optimize contact flows in Amazon Connect that support seamless customer interactions across channels and ensure reliable routing of retail banking queries and service requests.
- Configure Amazon CloudWatch monitoring and alerting to track application performance and event logs and to proactively address issues impacting transaction processing or customer facing banking services.
- Collaborate with product and operations stakeholders to translate retail banking requirements into clear technical solutions that enhance account servicing loan processing and digital payment journeys.
- Perform code reviews testing and performance tuning of serverless functions and data access patterns to ensure secure resilient and cost efficient operation of retail banking applications in the cloud.
- Document application designs data flows and operational procedures in a clear manner that supports maintainability knowledge sharing and alignment with technology and compliance standards.
- Support incident analysis and root cause investigation by using CloudWatch metrics logs and traces to quickly identify defects and propose targeted remediation for impacted banking services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to AWS based architectures and automation practices that improve reliability and speed of retail banking features.
- Collaborate in a hybrid work environment using secure communication and development tools to ensure effective coordination with distributed team members and business partners.
- Apply secure coding practices and appropriate usage of AWS identity and access controls to protect retail banking customer information and ensure adherence to regulatory expectations.
- Participate in release planning and deployment activities to deliver new or updated banking features with minimal disruption and clear rollback strategies when needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate practical experience designing and implementing applications with AWS Lambda and Amazon DynamoDB including hands on work with event driven patterns and data modeling for financial use cases.
- Show strong proficiency in using Amazon S3 for secure storage versioning and lifecycle management of retail banking data while following organizational policies for retention and privacy.
- Exhibit capability in configuring and maintaining Amazon CloudWatch metrics dashboards and alarms to monitor critical banking application components and support timely operational responses.
- Display hands on experience creating and managing Amazon Lex bots and Amazon Connect contact flows that support customer service scenarios in retail banking including account and payment inquiries.
- Bring applied knowledge of retail banking domains such as deposits loans and payments with an ability to convert functional requirements into reliable and compliant technical implementations.
- Possess working experience in hybrid work models with effective communication collaboration and time management skills suited for distributed development and operations teams.
- Prefer exposure to additional AWS services such as API gateways and identity management to enhance integration design and security posture of retail banking solutions.
- Value familiarity with secure software development practices continuous integration and automated testing to support stable and auditable releases of cloud based banking features.
