About the role

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will make an impact by driving collaboration, agile execution, release management, and technology product delivery across globally distributed teams. You will be a valued member of the Digital engineering organization and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Agile delivery activities, including Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure predictable value delivery.
  • Manage release planning and execution by coordinating cross-functional teams, mitigating deployment risks, and ensuring successful production releases.
  • Drive project governance by overseeing timelines, dependencies, scope, risks, and stakeholder communications for technology product development initiatives.
  • Partner with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to align technical solutions and delivery roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Optimize collaboration practices, communication strategies, and operational processes to enhance productivity, transparency, and team effectiveness across hybrid environments.

What you need to have to be considered

  • Extensive experience leading Agile teams using Scrum frameworks, including backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery practices.
  • Proven experience managing complex release cycles, coordinating multi-team deployments, and ensuring production stability for business-critical applications.
  • Strong background in project and program management, including schedule management, resource coordination, dependency tracking, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience developing and implementing stakeholder communication strategies, executive updates, and change management plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in hybrid work environments while fostering collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
  • Knowledge of technology product development lifecycles, software delivery methodologies, and modern delivery practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve delivery, process, and operational challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Experience monitoring delivery metrics, release success indicators, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting critical deadlines.

  • Experience working with enterprise collaboration and communication platforms in large-scale organizations.
  • Knowledge of technology architecture principles and the ability to align technical decisions with business objectives.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation and new technology product development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change impact assessments, organizational readiness planning, and user adoption strategies.
  • Continuous learning mindset with knowledge of emerging Agile, product delivery, and collaboration best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $ 80,000 to $ 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
