Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000/Year to $130,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities
- Design scalable and resilient application architectures that leverage Springboot microservices and Java based full stack commerce solutions to support complex enterprise digital initiatives
- Guide end to end solution design across backend services and frontend integration to ensure seamless commerce flows that meet performance reliability and usability targets
- Define standards for microservice decomposition service contracts and data flows that enable modular development straightforward maintenance and future platform expansion
- Review application designs and code implementations from development teams to ensure alignment with architectural best practices security guidelines and enterprise technology strategy
- Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate commerce requirements into technical architectures that optimize transaction throughput and customer experience
- Drive adoption of effective coding patterns testing strategies and observability practices for Springboot microservices that improve system reliability and incident resolution times
- Coordinate with infrastructure and platform teams to optimize deployment pipelines environment configurations and resource utilization for hybrid work model delivery and day shift operations
- Evaluate emerging tools frameworks and patterns in the Java ecosystem to recommend pragmatic improvements that enhance developer productivity and reduce technology risk
- Provide detailed technical guidance and reference implementations that help engineering teams deliver robust APIs secure integrations and maintainable commerce functionalities
- Analyze system performance and error metrics to identify architectural bottlenecks propose targeted remediation actions and support continuous optimization of critical services
- Document architectural decisions non functional requirements and integration patterns in clear blueprints that enable consistent implementation across distributed teams without requiring travel
- Partner with quality engineering and operations teams to ensure test coverage automation strategies and monitoring solutions are aligned with architecture goals for stability and scalability
- Support incident analysis and root cause investigations by providing architectural insights that reduce recurring issues and improve the resilience of business critical commerce journeys
Qualifications
- Demonstrate advanced expertise in designing and implementing Springboot microservices architectures that handle high volume transactions and complex business rules in enterprise environments
- Apply strong proficiency in Java based full stack engineering for commerce platforms including backend services integration patterns and modern web application practices in a hybrid work setting
- Bring solid experience with API design RESTful principles and data modeling that support interoperable systems and robust communication between distributed services
- Utilize hands on knowledge of testing frameworks build tools and version control systems to ensure reliable delivery pipelines and consistent quality across microservices components
- Show familiarity with performance tuning techniques caching approaches and asynchronous processing methods that improve latency and throughput for digital commerce workloads
- Use understanding of security practices authentication mechanisms and data protection strategies to safeguard transaction flows and sensitive customer information in production systems
- Leverage experience with containerized deployments and cloud ready architectures to support scalable infrastructure design in alignment with organizational standards and day shift operations
