Job Summary
Project Manager role in a multinational organization overseeing hybrid model projects that integrate IBM ILM SAP ILM and bioinformatics domain solutions for day shift operations. The candidate will manage complex data lifecycle initiatives coordinate cross functional stakeholders and ensure compliant efficient delivery that advances scientific innovation and supports responsible information management for global clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end project planning for IBM ILM and SAP ILM initiatives within bioinformatics programs defining scope timelines and resource needs to ensure successful delivery of hybrid model projects aligned with business goals.
- Coordinate cross functional teams including data scientists application specialists and infrastructure staff to integrate ILM solutions into bioinformatics workflows ensuring smooth collaboration and clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Oversee execution of project plans by monitoring progress managing dependencies and resolving risks and issues promptly so that complex data lifecycle projects stay on schedule and within approved budgets.
- Drive implementation of ILM strategies that enhance data retention archival and decommissioning processes for bioinformatics platforms ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regional regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather detailed requirements for data lifecycle management translate them into technical tasks for IBM ILM and SAP ILM teams and track completion to maintain transparent delivery outcomes.
- Ensure project governance processes are followed consistently by preparing status reports conducting regular reviews and maintaining accurate documentation so that stakeholders have reliable insight into project health and decisions.
- Manage change requests by assessing impact on scope timelines and quality negotiating realistic plans with stakeholders and updating project baselines to preserve reliable delivery while accommodating critical new needs.
- Promote data quality and integrity within bioinformatics applications by coordinating ILM configuration activities validating results through testing cycles and ensuring that workflow changes do not compromise scientific analysis capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement by analyzing project performance metrics identifying patterns in delays or defects and recommending process enhancements that increase efficiency and reliability of ILM enabled bioinformatics solutions.
- Collaborate with operations teams to establish day shift support models for hybrid work arrangements ensuring that handoffs documentation and communication practices enable stable and sustainable ongoing service performance.
- Guide risk management practices by identifying technical and operational risks related to IBM ILM and SAP ILM integration documenting mitigation plans and tracking actions to reduce disruptions to bioinformatics research activities.
- Engage with external and internal clients to present project updates clarify expectations and collect feedback on ILM capabilities ensuring that delivered solutions support organizational goals and contribute to scientific and societal advancements.
- Align project outcomes with company purpose by emphasizing secure ethical and efficient handling of research data demonstrating how well managed information lifecycle processes accelerate innovation and enhance positive impact on society.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate eight to ten years of project management experience in complex technology environments with proven success delivering data centric solutions that involve cross functional stakeholder coordination.
- Possess strong practical expertise in IBM ILM configuration deployment and optimization applying this experience to improve data retention archival and decommissioning processes in enterprise contexts.
- Show solid hands on experience with SAP ILM capabilities across design implementation and maintenance activities using structured methods to align lifecycle rules with business compliance and operational requirements.
- Apply substantial bioinformatics domain experience to understand scientific data structures analytical workflows and regulatory considerations enabling project decisions that respect research integrity and compliance expectations.
- Utilize advanced skills in project planning scheduling and tracking tools to manage hybrid work arrangements ensuring that day shift activities and remote collaboration are coordinated effectively.
- Communicate clearly and inclusively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders using structured reporting and documentation practices that make ILM concepts accessible and actionable for diverse audiences.
- Employ strong problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose issues in data lifecycle implementations propose pragmatic resolutions and facilitate decisions that keep projects moving efficiently.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include PMP or PRINCE2 for project management and relevant ILM or SAP certifications for data lifecycle and enterprise platform expertise.
