About the role
As a.NET Lead, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions that drive digital transformation and engineering excellence. You will be a valued member of the technology leadership team and work collaboratively with architects, engineering teams, DevOps specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver modern application platforms and AI-enabled solutions.

In this role, you will:
Lead technical solution, including .NET service decomposition, API design, cloud architecture, and integration patterns.
Design and implement scalable solutions using Azure or AWS cloud platforms, leveraging modern architectural approaches such as event-driven architecture and CQRS.
Establish and drive technology governance standards, ensuring architecture consistency, quality, scalability, and maintainability across applications.
Champion AI-enabled solution development, including agent-based application architectures and emerging AI technologies.
Guide engineering excellence through DevOps best practices, CI/CD strategy, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and deployment frameworks.
Enable and support MLOps capabilities, including model deployment, monitoring, and drift detection practices.
Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams across multiple initiatives.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring associates to work 3 days from a client or Cognizant office in Alpharetta, Georgia. What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
10 years of extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
Proven expertise in application architecture, microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of modern integration patterns, including event-driven architectures and CQRS.
Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment frameworks.
Knowledge of application security principles, secure coding practices, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated leadership experience guiding technical teams and driving enterprise technology standards.
These will help you stand out
Experience leading AI-driven application modernization initiatives.
Hands-on experience with agent-based AI architectures and generative AI solutions.
Knowledge of MLOps frameworks, model lifecycle management, and monitoring practices.
Experience building large-scale cloud-native applications in highly regulated environments.
Industry certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, cloud architecture, or DevOps disciplines.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
