Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Python Developer to design, develop, and support cloud-based risk management solutions that help organizations make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies and Python development, with a proven ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions that process complex data, automate critical workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale initiatives while working in a collaborative and agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Python and AWS services.
- Build scalable and secure solutions that support risk assessment, monitoring, reporting, and operational decision-making.
- Develop and manage serverless applications using AWS Lambda and related cloud services.
- Create and maintain infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation.
- Implement event-driven and messaging-based architectures using AWS EventBridge and Amazon SQS.
- Design and optimize data storage solutions using Amazon RDS and Amazon S3.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of applications through AWS IAM and cloud security best practices.
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch.
- Support DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, system designs, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in Python application development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including:
- AWS Lambda
- AWS CloudFormation
- Amazon S3
- Amazon RDS
- Amazon EventBridge
- Amazon SQS
- AWS IAM
- AWS CloudWatch
- Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Risk Management, Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, or highly regulated industries.
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- AWS Certifications are highly desirable.

The annual salary for this position is between $11000 - $125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
