Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP Data Engineer / ETL Lead with extensive experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale data warehousing and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SQL development, ETL frameworks, data validation, healthcare data processing, Agile methodologies, and Scrum practices.
The candidate will be responsible for building scalable and reliable data pipelines, optimizing database performance, supporting data migration initiatives, and ensuring high-quality data delivery across enterprise healthcare platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & ETL
- Design, develop, enhance, and support large-scale ETL/ELT data pipelines on GCP.
- Build and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions using BigQuery and cloud-native services.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.
- Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions for incremental data processing.
- Design and maintain batch and real-time data integration solutions.
- Analyze source-to-target mappings and implement data transformation rules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production ETL failures and performance issues.
GCP Development
- Develop cloud-native solutions using:
- BigQuery
- Cloud Storage
- Cloud Composer
- Dataflow
- Dataproc
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Functions
- Build scalable distributed data processing applications.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
Data Warehousing & Database Management
- Design dimensional and relational data models.
- Support enterprise data warehouse architecture and modernization initiatives.
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Work with multiple database platforms including:
- Oracle
- Teradata
- SQL Server
- BigQuery
Data Quality & Validation
- Conduct detailed data profiling and data quality assessments.
- Develop data validation frameworks and reconciliation processes.
- Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies.
- Create test cases, test scripts, and validation reports.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
Healthcare Data Solutions
- Support healthcare data integration projects.
- Work with healthcare data standards and compliance requirements.
- Participate in healthcare analytics, reporting, and data transformation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
