Job Summary

This hybrid role as a Product Consultant focuses on IBM Maximo Asset Management for utilities clients requiring deep expertise in Maximo automation scripting SQL and Java to design configure and optimize asset management solutions. The consultant will collaborate with cross functional teams to translate complex utility operations into robust Maximo workflows driving reliability regulatory compliance and operational efficiency for large scale enterprises while ensuring maintainable techn


Responsibilities

  • Drive end to end configuration of IBM Maximo Asset Management solutions for utilities clients by designing maintainable asset hierarchies work management processes and inventory structures that align with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Design and implement Maximo automation scripts using strong programming practices to streamline repetitive operational tasks enforce business rules and improve data accuracy across work orders assets and preventive maintenance records.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions to support complex reporting requirements performance tuning activities and secure data extraction that helps utilities teams gain insight into asset health outages and maintenance costs.
  • Build and enhance Java based extensions and integrations around Maximo to connect with enterprise systems such as outage management geographic information and enterprise resource planning platforms enabling consistent data flow and reliable process automation.
  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis sessions with utilities stakeholders to understand asset lifecycle needs regulatory obligations and reliability targets and translate these into robust Maximo configurations and automation solutions.
  • Configure Maximo workflows escalation rules and notification mechanisms to support day based operational processes for field crews and back office teams while ensuring the hybrid work model is fully enabled through appropriate user roles and access controls.
  • Perform rigorous solution testing including unit system and user validation activities to ensure all Maximo customizations automation scripts SQL logic and Java components operate reliably under utilities specific scenarios and data volumes.
  • Provide advanced production support and root cause analysis for Maximo issues in utilities environments by diagnosing integration problems data quality defects and performance bottlenecks and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical colleagues to document solution designs configuration decisions and operational procedures so that utilities clients can maintain and evolve their Maximo platforms without unnecessary disruption.
  • Guide continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing usage patterns asset reliability metrics and work management performance indicators and recommending targeted enhancements to Maximo automation data structures and reporting.
  • Enable safe and efficient day to day operations for utilities field and plant teams by ensuring that Maximo screens workflows and automation scripts are intuitive stable and aligned to standard operating procedures.
  • Align Maximo based asset management capabilities with the company purpose of enabling resilient and efficient utility services for society by focusing every configuration and enhancement on reliability sustainability and cost effectiveness outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Apply extensive experience of ten to twelve years in IBM Maximo Asset Management to architect enterprise grade solutions for utilities organizations including complex asset models and maintenance strategies.
  • Use advanced proficiency in Maximo automation scripting to create robust rule based logic that reduces manual intervention enforces compliance and supports scalable process automation across utility operations.
  • Leverage strong SQL expertise to design performant queries views and data structures that support analytics regulatory reporting and operational dashboards tailored to utilities asset and outage management.
  • Utilize solid Java skills to extend Maximo functionality and build integration components that connect asset management with upstream and downstream utility systems in a secure and reliable manner.
  • Draw on deep domain experience in utilities to ensure all configurations scripts and integrations reflect real world grid plant and network operations while adhering to safety reliability and regulatory requirements.
  • Adopt collaborative working practices suitable for a hybrid work model by engaging effectively with onsite and remote stakeholders during requirements discussions solution reviews and production support activities.


Certifications Required

IBM Certified Deployment Professional Maximo Asset Management and related utilities or asset management certifications preferred.
