About the role
We are seeking a Senior .NET Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise healthcare payer applications using modern Microsoft technologies. In this role, you will build secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve user experiences, and support business compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative applications that drive impact across healthcare payer operations.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and the .NET Framework.
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support healthcare payer operations and business objectives.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement continuous improvements.
- Support application quality through testing, code reviews, documentation, and deployment best practices.

What you need to have to be considered:
- 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using .NET technologies.
- Strong experience with .NET, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, REST APIs, and SQL databases.
- Experience building secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications.
- Knowledge of source control, testing methodologies, and Agile software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
These will help you stand out:
- Experience working within the healthcare payer domain.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with Angular, React, TypeScript, or other front-end frameworks.
- Experience with microservices, containerization, or cloud-native architectures.
- Microsoft certifications related to .NET development or Azure technologies.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $97,000 to 114,000 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
