About the role
As a Facets Configuration Engineer, you will make an impact by delivering configuration solutions, supporting modernization initiatives, and driving automation across healthcare platform environments. You will be a valued member of the healthcare technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, development teams, support teams, and client partners to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
In this role, you will:
Provide configuration expertise for Facets applications, analyze production incidents and enhancement requests, and recommend effective technical solutions.
Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements, evaluate solution options, and ensure successful delivery aligned with customer expectations.
Coordinate and prioritize work across support, development, and business teams to meet project milestones and operational commitments.
Support PQF Product Modernization initiatives utilizing Node.js, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, and Amazon SNS to build scalable cloud-native solutions.
Identify opportunities for automation that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and overall service quality.
Design and implement automation solutions using established frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, business objectives, and customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence through modernization and automation initiatives.

What you need to have to be considered
Strong experience configuring and supporting Facets within a U.S. Healthcare environment.
Hands-on experience with Node.js development and integration.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, and Amazon SNS.
Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.
Experience analyzing production issues, troubleshooting system defects, and implementing sustainable solutions.
Knowledge of healthcare payer operations, claims processing, membership, benefits, or related healthcare functions.
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
These will help you stand out
Experience supporting healthcare platform modernization initiatives.
Exposure to automation frameworks and process optimization tools.
Experience working within Agile development environments.
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and event-driven application design.
Experience collaborating across distributed teams in large enterprise environments.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $82K - $93K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
