Serve as a product architect within an information solutions group focusing on identity and access management for enterprise platforms in a hybrid work model. Apply six to eight years of experience to design secure identity flows guide product evolution and ensure reliable integration with existing systems while supporting check processing capabilities when required for business needs.
Responsibilities
- Design end to end product architecture for identity and access management solutions that align with enterprise security standards and long term product strategy while ensuring scalability and reliability across platforms.
- Define clear architectural patterns for identity lifecycle management including onboarding role assignment access revocation and audit readiness to support compliance and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate complex identity requirements into tangible architectural blueprints that enable secure and intuitive user journeys.
- Analyze existing identity systems and integration points to identify gaps and propose modernization approaches that improve performance resilience and maintainability without disrupting business operations.
- Guide development teams on implementing identity protocols such as authentication flows authorization mechanisms and entitlement models to ensure consistent and secure access across applications.
- Review technical designs and implementation artifacts to confirm alignment with the defined identity architecture and to proactively mitigate security vulnerabilities and integration risks.
- Coordinate with security and infrastructure teams to define nonfunctional requirements for identity services including performance capacity availability and disaster recovery objectives.
- Drive adoption of reusable identity components and services across products so that shared capabilities such as single sign on and role based access control reduce duplication and delivery time.
- Evaluate potential use of check processing domain capabilities in product flows by mapping identity needs for transaction validation fraud checks and audit trails when required by business contexts.
- Document architecture decisions identity patterns data flows and integration contracts in a structured manner that supports future enhancements onboarding of new team members and regulatory reviews.
- Engage with cross functional teams in a hybrid work setting using digital collaboration tools to ensure continuous communication clarity of priorities and timely resolution of architectural issues.
- Monitor production behavior of identity services using logs metrics and analytics and recommend corrective and preventive improvements that protect user trust and system stability.
- Provide mentorship on identity design practices to peers and junior engineers by sharing examples patterns and guidelines that elevate technical quality across the product organization.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong experience in identity and access management including user provisioning access modeling authentication flows and policy enforcement gained over six to eight years of practice in complex environments.
- Apply solid understanding of common identity technologies and standards such as directory services tokens and federated identity concepts to design secure and interoperable solutions.
- Exhibit practical knowledge of integrating identity platforms with enterprise applications and middleware ensuring reliable data exchange and consistent user experiences across digital channels.
- Utilize familiarity with check processing or related financial transaction domains to design identity controls that support validation fraud detection and compliance objectives when these capabilities are part of the product scope.
- Show proven ability to work in a hybrid model using remote collaboration practices while maintaining high levels of communication accountability and delivery quality for architectural outcomes.
- Maintain strong problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose identity issues assess tradeoffs between design options and propose solutions that balance security usability and cost.
- Display effective stakeholder communication skills enabling clear explanation of architectural decisions risks and benefits to both technical and nontechnical audiences in day shift engagements.

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $129,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
