Senior Software Engineer (AWS/TypeScript)
About the role:
As a Sr Software Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and building enterprise-grade microservices and modern web applications that power scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for our client. You will be a valued member of the Software Engineering delivery team and work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and Architects, and clients.

In this role, you will
Design and develop enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot, and build responsive web applications with TypeScript, AWS, and SQL/PLSQL.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and maintainability, writing unit, integration, and automated test cases.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, support DevOps activities, and troubleshoot production issues to provide timely resolutions.

What you must have to be considered
Hands-on experience developing applications with TypeScript.
Hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on AWS.
Strong experience with SQL/PLSQL for data access and database programming.
These will help you succeed
Experience designing and developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs across internal and external systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience collaborating in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to code quality and development best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $94,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
