About the role
As a Sr. Consulting Manager, Solutions Engineering you will make an impact by designing and delivering enterprise-scale AWS cloud solutions that enable complex application migration, modernization, and platform transformation.
You will be a valued member of the Solutions Engineering team and work collaboratively with AWS architects, Cognizant delivery leadership, and client engineering, platform, and product teams. In this role, you will:
- Architect and deliver enterprise AWS cloud solutions aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles, including landing zones, multi-account architectures, networking, identity and access management, security, and platform engineering for complex financial-services workloads.
- Lead cloud migration and application modernization initiatives, moving applications from on-premises and legacy cloud environments to AWS, with emphasis on ECS/Fargate, container-based services, serverless architectures, APIs, and cloud-native modernization patterns.
- Design and build Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and TypeScript, including reusable L2/L3 constructs, stack composition, cross-account deployment patterns, AWS Organizations guardrails, and standardized ECS/Fargate service constructs.
- Engineer secure DevSecOps and CI/CD capabilities, including pipeline design and standardization, automated security and quality gates, IAM policies, AWS Config, CloudTrail, Security Hub, CSPM tooling, and cloud compliance controls.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client teams, leading discovery sessions, architecture reviews, technical workshops, paired-programming sessions, and structured knowledge transfer to strengthen client capabilities across AWS, CDK/TypeScript, DevSecOps, ECS/Fargate, and cloud-native engineering.
