About the Role
The Manhattan Active Warehouse Solution Architect is responsible for leading the architecture, integration, data migration, and implementation of warehouse automation solutions within Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) environments. This role serves as the primary technical authority for warehouse automation technologies, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Manhattan Active integrations, and ProActive extensibility frameworks. The architect partners with business stakeholders, operations teams, integration teams, automation vendors, and Manhattan Associates to design scalable, supportable, and future-ready warehouse solutions.
This position provides technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, leading solution design workshops, architecture reviews, vendor engagements, deployment activities, testing, and post-go-live support while ensuring the successful delivery of complex warehouse automation programs through sound architecture governance and strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will:
• Lead warehouse automation architecture and MHE integrations across WCS, WES, ASRS, conveyor, sortation, goods-to-person (GTP), robotics, and related automation platforms within MAWM environments.
• Define end-to-end integration and data migration strategies between legacy WMS platforms, automation systems, and Manhattan Active to ensure seamless operational continuity.
• Govern MHE vendor engagement, interface design, testing strategies, architecture reviews, and deployment readiness across implementation teams and third-party providers.
• Design and oversee MAWM extensibility solutions, including ProActive extensions, APIs, workflows, UI enhancements, and upgrade-safe customizations aligned with Manhattan best practices.
• Provide program-level technical leadership by establishing architecture standards, driving key technical decisions, supporting multi-site rollouts, and ensuring successful deployments through hypercare.
