Job Title: Senior Angular UI Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Angular UI Developer with 8+ years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing scalable and responsive web applications, building reusable UI components, integrating REST APIs, implementing state management, and optimizing frontend performance.
This is a 100% onsite position in Washington, DC. Candidates must be willing and able to work onsite from Day 1. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, scalable web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and configurable Angular UI components.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Develop and maintain Angular services and implement reactive programming using RxJS.
- Implement efficient state management solutions for complex applications.
- Ensure applications work effectively across different screen sizes and browsers.
- Troubleshoot and optimize UI performance, rendering, and application responsiveness.
- Develop unit tests using Jasmine/Karma or similar testing frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and follow frontend development best practices.
- Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development processes.
- Collaborate with backend developers and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of overall software development experience with significant hands-on frontend/UI development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular.
- Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience building reusable Angular components.
- Strong understanding of RxJS, Observables, and Angular services.
- Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with frontend state management.
- Strong experience developing responsive web applications.
- Experience with Jasmine/Karma or similar unit-testing frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting and UI performance optimization skills.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and coding best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise Angular applications.
- Knowledge of modern frontend design patterns and component-based architecture.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and API error handling.
- Familiarity with accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
- Exposure to Agile development environments.
Compensation: - $ 80,000 to $1180,000 +COLA ($6000) Performance Bonus + Benefits. Bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 11/08/2026
